Great food, friendly owner, great service! by Nick Moorman	After walking and driving by numerous times, we finally decided to give Anselmo's a try. I wish we'd gone sooner, because we loved it. They have a great selection of reasonably priced food, and they have several good vegetarian dishes if that's your thing. They have a dish called Rattlesnake Pasta, wich is pasta with chicken in a spicy alfredo sauce, and I highly recommend trying it. To top it all off, the owner brought our dog a bowl of water and some treats, so even dogs get great service here!
A Sheer Delight! by Ty Samson, Lexington	I recently moved to the Bardstown road area and, while my sister was in town, we decided to make a nice late-night run for food. Well, we walked into Anselmo's and could not have been more delighted! They have a delicious lox dish. The service was absolutely phenomenal! I will, with great certainty, be visiting again in the next week!
Why do more people not go here on the weekend??? by Leigh	I'm not going to lie, I've only eaten at Anselmo's twice, but I've been there late night for drinks many many times and I have no idea why more people aren't there. Their happy hour specials are RIDICULOUS! My boyfriend and I had a whiskey drink each, plus 2 shots of Jameson each and the total was $16 something... I know right?! Why do more people not go here at night?! I highly recommend it. Also, service was VERY very friendly and attentive.
New Spot by Robin	I am always on the look out for new restaurantsand I recently found a new one in the Highlands. Sat outside and had a pizza with chicken and spinach. It was delicious and the atmosphere is very inviting in the heart of the highlands. The servers were really friendly and took great care of us. Definitely worth your time to give this one a try.
Spaghetti and meatballs...right out of Sicily! by Brandon	Finally got to stop and try this new restaurant. I pass it every day. I got the spaghetti and meatballs. It came with a salad, a garlic breadstick, parmesan cheese on top, and two huge meatballs with meaty sauce on top. It was AWESOME! You can't get that for even close to ten bucks anywhere else. Brought back memories of grandma throwin the oregano and telling us to have some more. Ill be back for sure!
Great little place by rle	I loved the place. Tne atmosphere was wonderful. I am an outdoor diner so if there is somewhere I can go and sit outside I am so there. Service was outstanding. The server was very attentive and offered lots of suggestions to help me make my choices. The lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs are the closest to a real taste of Italy you can get here in Louisville. And don't get me started on the Bailey's Irish Cream Cheesecake. One word - Heavenly!!!
Dont be the Chicken, Try it by Matt	I'm always hesitant when it comes to trying a new place, not knowing whats good or bad, and the people that work at the places are hardly honest when it comes to how is something in their opinion. I decided to give it a shot, had a really unique atmosphere, a place you can take your wife that she will think is romantic, and can watch the ballgame and have a beer at the same time without her getting mad haha, tried the grilled chicken sandwich with loaded potato salad, i was shocked at how quick the service was, and how friendly the staff was. the food was absolutely fantastic, very rare for a new place, especially in the highlands. I asked about the different seasonings and dressing that may be good on it, and they had quite a few to choose from but mixed very well with it, highly reccomend it, best chicken ive had period, and this wasnt even their specialties, cant wait to go back and try them again!
Homemade! Theres a change!! by jj	I have recently discovered Anselmos and I am so glad I did. Loved the atmosphere! The food was homemade and you could tell! The servers were very friendly and the owner actually took time to come to our table and see how everything was. We felt very welcome and loved our meal. It has a great bar and wonderful desserts! Look for the big umbrellas and sit outside!!! TRY IT OUT!!!
